"Why would Herobrine want obsidian…" Steve mussed as we ventured through the "abandoned" mineshaft. It was pitch black this time, not a single source of light. I placed torches here and there to keep the Skeletons and Creepers away.

"Well, sure. Would anyone from the village do it? Monsters can't break stone or glass, unless a Creeper blew up."

Sunlight breaks through my window, waking me up. The cries of the Skeletons, Zombies and Endermen could be heard as the bright rays burned them alive. It's safe to come out now, the bright light always told us. Do not worry. But I grab my newly forged sword for insurance, for though the monsters dislike light, creepers were immune to the sun's rays. It's still not safe after sunrise, not for a while...

"Let's go check out that cave again, Amber." Steve joked as I stepped out of my house. I roll my eyes. "Oh come now, not afraid of ghosts, are we?"

"As if." I reply. "But if we explore the whole thing every day, soon there will be nothing left to explore."

"'tis true, 'tis true."

We begin heading to town, earlier than usual. The creatures of the night burn in the light of the day, and spiders around us were tame. Still early enough for Creepers to roam about. We even heard the hissing of one as it snuck up behind us. "3…2…1…Now!" I shout as the Creeper blew. We leaped out of the way to avoid the blast, both laughing in joy.

The cave seemed to travel on forever. Occasionally we passed a few passages branching out from all ends, with the glowing eyes of the monsters staring down at me. The Creeper stopped suddenly; I almost stumbled over him. I was about to ask why we had stopped, but then a sinister glow emitted from the darkness and a Skeleton upon a purple spider comes riding out into view. Next to him was a young Endergirl with two different colored eyes.

"Thank you, our Creeper friend." The spider jockey said with a good a grin as a Skeleton could make.

"What should I do…?" I continuously ask myself. Back at my own house, sitting on my bed, I contemplated my choices. I'm nothing without Steve. He's the reason I'd even go into caves or stand up to Creepers, or even chase after a ghost with an intent to kill. Without him, I'm too chicken to even try facing a zombie.

I let out a long sigh and look out the window. I must save Steve, I decided. I can't live the rest of my life knowing I was too afraid to even save my best friend. I must know why, first. Why Herobrine wants to open the path to the Nether. What are his intentions? It must be done quickly, however. Steve's in danger.

A long, long time ago, in the wonderful land of Minecraftia, a family lived happily. My eyes open slowly, seeing red all around me. I blink a few times and rub my eyes, but still everything was red. It took me a few moments to realize that the area was surrounded by lava falls and oceans of lava, giving off the red light. One day, I just decided to buy minecraft. They told me good things about them, so I just wanted to try. I didn't know that that decision was the worst.

It all happened 3 hours after I bought minecraft. I started a server and invited my friends. They were all happy, and we shared so many things, a friend just made a Link sprite, and another one made a creeper statue. We were all having fun, until they left. I decided to stay longer than them to finish my home, and mine some lapis before I close the server.

I entered my mine, and decided to finish it, but something just stopped me... I saw a sign saying: "Don't you dare to enter. This place is Herobrine's".
I just made a sarcastic laugh and entered the mine. I mean, I know that my friends love to make fake signs making jokes, so I didn't care that much, until I went almost at the end of the mine.

I saw someone mining. I thought I was alone, but I wasn't. He was there, taking out the diamonds and the redstone around the mine. He then turned back, and he saw me. After that, I noticed someone just chatted:

Herobrine: Didn't you read the sign? THIS IS MY MINE!

I was scared. I decided to check the server player list, and I just got frighten. It said: "Online (1): Felipex1995.

He then said:

Herobrine: Get out of here now, and don't come back.
Felipex1995: Who are you?
Herobrine: GET OUT OF HERE NOW!
Felipex1995: Answer me, WHO ARE YOU?
Herobrine: You really are annoying me. Don't make me end this the bad way.
Felipex1995: Just tell me who are you!
Herobrine: ...

Soon, a loading screen just showed up. I didn't know what the heck was going on, until the loading ended. We were now at the nether, and his skin changed. His clothes were totally rotten, and he looked like a pigZombie, but instead of a piggy skin, he had the default skin. His eyes were totally blank. I was so scared that I couldn't move my character. Finally, I realized that I was about to get in a fight.
